Pacy left winger born in Battersea, London who started his career at Chelsea before moving on to Millwall in January 1963. Chris made 25 first team appearances for the Lions during the 1964/65 and 1965/66 seasons and scored four goals.

After being released by Millwall Chris joined Watford on trial in August 1966 and made two league appearances (one as sub) during the opening weeks of the 1966/67 campaign. He then dropped into non-league football towards the end of 1966 and signed for Dartford.

Chris went on to win the Darts' 'Player of the Year' award for 1966/67 and he scored 19 goals in 52 games for the club before joining Margate in February 1968 in exchange for David Kydd.

Chris made his debut for Margate in a remarkable 10-0 win over Sheppey on 19.2.68 and although he wasn't amongst the goals that night he put in an impressive performance. On 7.3.68 he scored his first goal for Margate in 4-0 win at Deal in the Kent Floodlight League but dislocated his shoulder during the game and was out for several weeks as a result. Once he regained fitness Chris was in and out of the side for the remainder of the 1967/68 season. On 18.4.68 he put in what the local press described as a "sparkling performance" during a 6-0 win at Sheppey and scored twice during the match. He made a total of ten appearances (one as a substitute) before the end of the campaign and scored three times but moved on to Hastings for the 1968/69 season.

Chris stayed with Hastings until the summer of 1970 when he joined Tonbridge. On 9.1.71 he was sent off for the Angels in a game against Stevenage.

He returned to Hastings for the 1972/73 season.
