Energetic Stevenage-born midfielder who played in Ramsgate's youth set-up and in local Sunday League football before joining Margate in the summer of 2006.

Danny featured in five of Margate's friendlies ahead of the 2006/07 campaign and scored in a 1-1 draw at Chatham on 1.8.06. On the eve of the new season player-manager Robin Trott told the Isle of Thanet Gazette "He's only young but has a good head on him. Has a bit of bite to his game and I don't mind that but we need to get his fitness up."

Danny made his debut in the number seven shirt in a 2-1 win over Slough at Hartsdown Park in the Isthmian League Premier Division on 26.8.06 and the Thanet Times said he was "learning the game and showed some neat touches". He didn't play again until 30.9.06 when he came on as a substitute in a 2-1 win at Whitstable in the FA Cup and Danny then missed another four games altogether before making another sub appearance in a 4-0 win at Leyton on 28.10.06.

After one more outing from the bench Danny played in midfield as a youthful Margate side lost 1-0 at VCD in the Kent Senior Cup on 8.11.06 and it was over three months before he featured in the first team again. He made his comeback as a substitute in a 2-1 defeat at Carshalton on 17.2.07 and Danny's next appearance was as a sub in a 2-0 home defeat against Boreham Wood on 10.3.07. The Thanet Times said he "no doubt got a bit of stick for his new blonde barnet" but "did himself no harm with his performance...putting his foot in and working hard against more experienced rivals".

Danny made one more sub appearance - in a 5-1 win over Leyton at Hartsdown Park on 20.3.07 - but in May 2007 he was released having played eight times in all (six as sub). Robin Trott told the Thanet Times "It's up to him where he wants to go now. He showed some excellent potential up to Christmas. There's always a chance for him to come back and work his way up through the reserves but I've not offered him a deal. He's a young lad and needs games but I'm sure he'll do well."

In June 2007 Danny rejoined Ramsgate and on 3.11.07 he scored twice as their reserves won 5-4 against Margate's reserves at Hartsdown Park.

In January 2008 Danny moved on to Whitstable and he went on to spend several years with the Oystermen. By the end of the 2010/11 season he'd played well over 100 games for the club. During the 2011/12 campaign his younger brother Kyle was also on Whitstable's books and in November 2011 Thamesmead made a seven-day approach for Danny. He turned the move down and also rejected an offer from Faversham in January 2012 in favour of staying with the Oystermen. Danny made a total of 25 league appearances (four as sub) without scoring during 2011/12.

In September 2012 he finally left Whitstable when he signed for their Isthmian League Division 1 South rivals Herne Bay who'd just been promoted from the Kent League. Their manager Simon Halsey said "I am delighted that Dan has agreed to join us because he is a quality player and will fit in with our lads perfectly. He's got a bit of presence about him. He's a tough tackler but a good footballer as well. I tried to sign him in pre-season so it's been a bit of a long haul but I'm sure he's going to prove worth it." Danny went on to score twice from 18 league outings (five as sub) for Herne Bay before the end of the 2012/13 season.

In the summer of 2013 he featured in friendlies for Ramsgate but Danny didn't sign for the club and retired from senior football.
