5' 7" tall defender born in Folkestone who began his career with Deal during the 1970/71 campaign and went on to spend several seasons there before joining Herne Bay.

In the summer of 1976 Dick moved on to Canterbury and made 32 Southern League appearances without scoring for City during the 1976/77 campaign. He then had a very brief spell with Folkestone & Shepway before joining Margate in the summer of 1977.

Dick made his Margate debut at left-back in a 2-1 win over Dorchester at Hartsdown on 3.9.77. He went on to make four further appearances before departing.

Dick later returned to Folkestone & Shepway and played for them during the 1978/79 and 1979/80 seasons.

He then moved on to Deal and was a member of their side that knocked Thanet United out of the FA Cup during the 1981/82 season.

During his time at Margate Dick worked as a plumber and he was also an accomplished sailor.
