6' 3" tall keeper born in Lambeth, London who started his career with Kent League outfit Greenwich before joining Horsham.

Jamie made four appearances for the Sussex club in the Isthmian League Division 2 during the 1998/99 season and then moved on to Welling.

In November 1999 he left the Wings to join Kent League club Deal and on 6.5.00 Jamie was an unused substitute as they won the FA Vase by beating Chippenham 1-0 at Wembley.

In the summer of 2000 he was signed by Gravesend & Northfleet and Jamie made 33 Isthmian League Premier Division appearances during the 2000/01 campaign and then another 33 during 2001/02 as the Fleet won the Premier Division title to reach the Conference. Their side featured future Margate players Jimmy Jackson, Steve McKimm, Justin Skinner and Che Stadhart.

Jamie was the Fleet's back-up keeper during the 2002/03 season with Paul Wilkerson being first-choice and he only played in a handful of matches.

In June 2003 Jamie moved on to Isthmian League Premier Division club Tonbridge and he went on to make 92 appearances for the Angels during 2003/04 and 2004/05.

In the summer of 2005 Jamie returned to Welling for a second spell and he made 124 Conference South appearances for the Wings over the course of the next four years.

In December 2009 he was loaned to Ramsgate and Jamie made his debut for the Rams in a 2-0 home win over Margate in the Premier Division on 27.12.08. His move was made permanent in January 2009 but it was too late to prevent Ramsgate from being deducted four points for using three loan players - including Jamie - in three games, the Margate match amongst them. The maximum amount of loanees the Isthmian League allowed was two in a game. Ramsgate were relegated at the end of the 2008/09 campaign.

In May 2009 Jamie joined Maidstone and became their regular keeper for most of 2009/10. On 26.12.09 he turned in a superb display as the Stones lost 1-0 to Margate at Ashford and the Isle of Thanet Gazette said Jamie was "all that stood between Margate and a comfortable victory". He'd made a total of 25 league appearances when he signed for Margate at the start of March 2010.

Jamie made his debut in a 3-0 home defeat against Tonbridge in the Isthmian League Premier Division on 2.3.10 and he was a fixture in the Margate side from then on. The Thanet Times said he made "an excellent save" to keep out a free-kick in the first half of a 3-0 defeat against Waltham Abbey at Hartsdown Park on 6.3.10 and Jamie also stopped a penalty early in the second half with what the paper said was a "smashing diving save low to his right".

The Thanet Times said Jamie "produced the save of the match" by flinging himself across goal to tip away a stinging volley in the first half of a 2-1 win at Billericay on 13.3.10 and then praised him for making "two or three top saves" in a 1-1 draw at Boreham Wood on 27.3.10.

On 7.4.10 Jamie made a mistake in a match at Wealdstone that gifted the home side the only goal of the game. The Isle of Thanet Gazette said a "30-yarder went straight at him and he actually had the ball in his grasp. Somehow it slipped out of his hands and squirmed through his legs - and Wealdstone could hardly believe their luck". The paper added that it was "the first mistake he's made since joining" and said Jamie had been "a major player in Blues' fight against relegation". Manager Iain O'Connell told the Gazette "He's been brilliant for us, he's won us points and the players know how well he's done." Margate ended up avoiding relegation despite finishing in the Premier Division drop zone and by the end of 2009/10 Jamie had made a total of 15 appearances, keeping three clean sheets.

In May 2010 Cray made an approach for his services but Jamie opted to stay with Margate and on the eve of the 2010/11 season Iain O'Connell spoke about him to the Isle of Thanet Gazette, saying "Best keeper in the league as far as I'm concerned. A few of the lads have nicknamed him Bungle out of Rainbow !"

Jamie made his first appearance of the new Isthmian League Premier Division campaign on 21.8.10 as Margate drew 2-2 with visitors Canvey Island and from then on he was ever-present bar minor cup competitions. The Isle of Thanet Gazette said he made "two top saves" in the first half of a 2-0 win over Aveley at Hartsdown Park on 7.9.10 and the Thanet Times praised "two terrific late saves" from Jamie in a 1-1 draw with visitors Kingstonian in the FA Cup on 25.9.10.

In its report on the replay at Kingstonian on 27.9.10 the Isle of Thanet Gazette said he "followed a top performance" in the original tie "by pulling off two or three cracking saves" and enthused about a late save from Jamie. The Gazette wrote "Christ knows how he got to one in particular during extra time, tipping over a Dean Lodge header from point-blank range" and Iain O'Connell told the paper "It may have been the best save I've seen in my life." Margate eventually lost on penalties after the match ended 1-1 after extra time.

In its report on a 5-3 defeat at Croydon Athletic on 17.11.10 the Isle of Thanet Gazette said Jamie "was at fault for three or four of the goals although he had little or no protection from Blues' back four" but the Thanet Times said he "saved Margate from a heavier defeat" in a 2-0 loss against the same opponents at Hartsdown Park on 8.1.11.

After a 0-0 draw at Harrow on 29.1.11 Iain O'Connell told Margate's website "We could have lost it in the last five minutes but for a great save from JT." and on 19.3.11 Jamie kept out a penalty in a 3-2 win over Hendon at Wembley FC. The Thanet Times said he "pulled off a brilliant low save" from the spot-kick to prevent Hendon making it 3-3 in the second half and the paper also said Jamie "pulled off two brilliant point-blank stops" in the dying minutes of the game.

On 22.3.11 Jamie played in a 2-1 home defeat against Concord Rangers and at that point he'd started 40 of Margate's 42 matches. However a hernia then forced him to miss the next five games and loanee Deren Ibrahim filled in for him.

Despite still being hampered by injury Jamie returned in a 2-0 defeat against Cray at Bromley on 25.4.11 and he also played in a 3-3 draw with Kingstonian at Hartsdown Park on 30.4.11 - Margate's last game of the season. He finished the campaign having kept nine clean sheets from 42 appearances but Jamie didn't play for the club again.

Shortly after the end of the season he underwent a double hernia operation but Jamie then dropped out of contact with Margate and in July 2011 manager Chris Kinnear told the Isle of Thanet Gazette "I've tried to keep in touch but I've not heard a lot from him. There could be a future here but he won't be fit."

Jamie never returned to Margate and he didn't play senior football again until April 2012 when he rejoined his old club Welling. Jamie made three starts for the Wings before the end of the 2011/12 campaign and kept three clean sheets as the club reached the Conference South play-offs before losing to Dartford in the final.

He stayed with Welling for the 2012/13 season as back- up to first-choice keeper Sam Mott and Jamie played nine times in all competitions as the Wings won the Conference South title.

In August 2013 he joined Isthmian League Premier Division newcomers Thamesmead Town on a dual-registration basis with Welling.

Jamie's dual-registration was switched to Division 1 North outfit Thurrock in March 2014.
