After a year out of football Kane joined Margate in the summer of 2010 and on the eve of the 2010/11 campaign manager Iain O'Connell spoke about him to the Isle of Thanet Gazette and said "A young attacking right-back with lots of skill. I like what I've seen in pre-season so we're signing him up."

Kane made his debut as a substitute in a 3-0 win at Binfield in the FA Cup on 11.9.10 but didn't feature again until making his first start at right-back as Margate lost 5-2 to Thamesmead in an Isthmian League Cup tie at Hartsdown Park on 12.10.10. After a further four game absence he wore the number two shirt in a 2-0 home defeat against Bromley in the Kent Senior Cup on 2.11.10 and Iain O'Connell told the Isle of Thanet Gazette that Kane "did very well".

On 23.11.10 he made his Isthmian League Premier Division debut as a substitute in a 2-0 defeat against visitors Folkestone, replacing Aaron Lacy just before half-time, and Kane then started at right-back as Margate drew 3-3 with Tooting & Mitcham at Hartsdown Park on 27.11.10. He was eventually released in February 2011 having made six appearances (two as sub) without scoring.

Immediately after leaving Margate Kane joined Isthmian League Division 1 North club Thamesmead and he made four league appearances there (three as sub) before moving on to Whitstable at the end of March 2011.

He started 2011/12 in Herne Bay's reserve team and then in November 2011 Kane left the Kent League club to join Lordswood, also of the Kent League.

In August 2012 he signed for Division 1 South outfit Sittingbourne but towards the end of September 2012 Kane was released having only played once.

In 2013 Kane was working as a PE teacher and he was a Level 2 qualified coach.

In the summer of 2014 Kane featured in friendlies for Margate's Under-21's side as an overage player.
