5' 10" tall clever, pacy left winger born in Romford who started his career with Dagenham before moving to Fulham in October 1956. Peter didn't make the first team at Craven Cottage and in the summer of 1959 he dropped back into non-league football to play for his hometown club.

Peter's performances for Romford caught the eye of Everton and he signed for the 1st Division club in January 1960.

He made his first team debut for the Toffees in a 1-1 draw with Chelsea at Goodison Park on 18.2.61 and went on to make a total of six senior appearances before leaving the club at the end of the 1960/61 season.

Peter then returned to the non-league game once more and joined Gravesend & Northfleet in the summer of 1961.

He made 31 appearances for the Fleet during the first half of the 1961/62 season, scoring twice, before joining Margate in March 1962.

Peter made his debut in a 2-1 defeat at Dartford on 31.3.62 but only played twice more before leaving the club in April 1962.

He later played for Stevenage and was in their side during the 1963/64 season.
