Much-travelled full-back born in St. Vincent in the West Indies noted for his long-range shooting and attacking play who started his career with Charlton. Terry played in the Addicks' junior sides before moving to Gravesend & Northfleet.

He was captain of the Fleet's youth team during the 1982/83 season and played once for the first team debut during the early part of 1983/84 but before the end of 1983 he joined Tonbridge.

Terry stayed with Tonbridge until the summer of 1985 when he signed for Chatham. He spent two whole seasons there before joining Folkestone in December 1987.

After two years with Folkestone Terry returned to Gravesend in December 1989 and took his total first team appearances for the club to 21 (four as sub) before linking up with Dover in September 1990.

Early in 1992 Terry moved on to Crawley and he scored once from 19 outings for the Sussex club before the end of 1991/92.

His next move took him to Chelmsford for the 1992/93 campaign and in the summer of 1993 Terry signed for Margate, shortly before his 30th birthday.

He made his debut at right-back in a 0-0 draw with Fareham at Hartsdown Park on 21.8.93, the opening day of the 1993/94 season, and became a fixture in the side. Terry usually wore the number two shirt but also played a handful of games in midfield. He was possibly the most attacking right-back Margate had ever had and on 30.8.93 Terry scored his first goal in a 3-2 home win over Ashford. It was a stunning effort that led the Isle of Thanet Gazette to use the headline "Cordice Cannon Rouses Margate". After Terry picked up the ball on the halfway line he sprinted forward before unleashing what the paper called "a veritable blockbuster" from at least 25 yards that flew past former Margate keeper Adrian Clewlow. The Gazette also noted that Terry's "darting runs down the right always threatened" in its match report. He had another good game as Margate thrashed Pagham 6-0 in an FA Cup tie at Hartsdown on 11.9.93 and the Thanet Times said Terry was "dangerous" with his "trademark surging runs". A few days later the Isle of Thanet Gazette said "the form of flying full-back Terry Cordice is one of the main reasons why Margate have started the season so brightly. Despite playing at the back Cordice has used his pace and power to upset several defences in the opening weeks of the campaign".

On 18.9.93 Terry took over in goal when Kevin Hudson was sent off a few minutes before the end of a 2-0 home defeat against Worthing in the FA Trophy and on 2.10.93 he scored with a cheeky lob from the edge of the box in a 3-1 home win over Weymouth. Terry scored again in a 1-1 draw at Havant on 16.10.93 and the Thanet Times said it was a "superb last-gasp equaliser" as he cracked home a 30 yard drive that the paper described as "a cannonball". On 23.10.93 Terry set up Dave Ward's goal in a 1-0 win over Erith & Belvedere at Hartsdown with what the Times said was "a typical surge to the corner flag" followed by a cross and the paper said "he revels in his rumbustious sorties down the flank". On 16.11.93 Terry scored with what the Gazette called "one of his thunderbolts from well outside the box" in a 2-0 win at Ashford but on 27.12.93 former Margate keeper Joe Radford saved his penalty in a 2-0 home win over Canterbury. Terry scored once more in 1994 - during a 4-1 home win over Wealdstone on 29.1.94 - and on 2.5.94 he was part of the Margate side that beat Dover 2-1 at Gillingham's Priestfield Stadium to win the Kent Senior Cup. Terry played his last game for the club in a 5-0 win over Poole at Hartsdown on 7.5.94 and left Margate in the summer of 1994 having scored eight goals in 50 appearances (two as sub) during 1993/94.

After Terry's departure from Hartsdown Park he initially joined Purfleet but early in 1995 he moved on to Chatham.

Terry linked up with Sheppey for the start of 1995/96 and went on to spend five years with the Islanders. He scored over 13 goals during the 1997/98 campaign and by 1999/00 Terry was also Sheppey's assistant manager.

In the summer of 2000 Terry signed for Maidstone and scored ten goals as the Stones won promotion from the Kent County League. He became player-manager of the club's reserves for the 2002/03 season and in March 2003 Terry played a whole game in goal for them - the first time he'd donned the gloves since briefly taking over from Kevin Hudson for Margate in September 1993. Terry also played a few first team games for the first team. He continued as reserve team player-manager for another two seasons and during 2003/04 he made one final first team appearance as a substitute.

In the summer of 2005 Terry became Faversham's first manager after their rebirth and early in 2006 he made a comeback as a player aged 42, making nine appearances before the end of the 2005/06 campaign. In June 2006 Terry told Faversham's website that he'd definitely retired as an outfield player, saying "I filled in for a while last season but this is the Kent League and I am not expecting to play this time. However, I could be dragged out of retirement to play in goal. The lads know I can do a job there. No one could get past me in training last season !" Terry's retirement lasted until 28.10.06 when he scored in Faversham's 3-0 win at Sevenoaks in the Kent League Cup aged 43 and in March 2007 he was sacked as manager.

He spent the 2007/08 season playing for Blantyre House, a club based in Cranbrook near Tonbridge who were members of the West Kent Sunday League. Terry was still turning out for them during 2009/10.

During the 2011/12 season he played a few games for Staplehurst Monarchs in the Kent County League at the age of 48 and Terry was still with the club during the 2013/14 campaign. He made two appearances and the second of them in October 2013 was a few weeks after Terry's 50th birthday.

He worked as a prison officer for most of his career and his cousin Neil was a well-known non-league player in the 1980's and 1990's who played for England's semi-professional side.
