5' 7" tall right winger who had spells with Burnley and Bromley before joining St.Mirren in May 1957.

Tony didn't make the first team there and he returned to England in the summer of 1958. He joined Sittingbourne for the 1958/59 season and scored for them in a game against Margate on 29.11.58. He also scored in the Kent Senior Shield Final as Sittingbourne lost 3-2 to Tonbridge on 9.5.59.

In June 1960 Tony signed for Margate and made his debut on the right wing in a Southern League game at Ashford on 20.8.60 - the opening day of the 1960/61 campaign. Margate were hammered 5-0 and it turned out to be Tony's only first team appearance. He played six times for the reserves over the next few months but was hampered by a nagging back injury. Tony was eventually released by the club in January 1961.

He later played for Canterbury and made four Southern League appearances for City without scoring during the 1962/63 season.

Tony also had spells with Fulham and Falkirk during his career.

In 1971 he was a regular member of a charity side called the Top Ten X1 who played fundraising matches around Britain. Tony's team-mates included disc jockey's David Hamilton, Ed Stewart and John Peel. At that time Tony also turned out for Clapham Old Xaverians, a side made of up of former school friends, and he was working as Press Officer for Interflow Limited, one of the UK's leading public relations companies of the era.

In the early 1990's he was a director of an advertising company in London and he was still living in the London area in 2012.
