Diminutive Fulham-born player who was the brother of Imre Varadi, a well-known 1st Division striker of the 1980's. Tony joined Ramsgate for the 1980/81 season and played regularly for them before moving to Margate early in 1981.

He initially played for the reserves and then made his first team debut in a 3-0 defeat at Dartford on 28.2.81. Tony also played in a 3-1 defeat at Hounslow on 7.3.81 but then dropped back into the reserves. He left the club at the end of the season and returned to local Sunday football where he turned out for clubs including Northwood.

Tony later played for Isthmian League club Barton Rovers for a spell that included the 1982/83 campaign before moving on to South Midlands League club Shillington.

Tony left Shillington to join Isthmian League outfit Vauxhall Motors (Luton) in December 1985 and made a few appearances for their reserve team during the remainder of the 1985/86 season.

His real name was actually Antonio Varadi and in 2009 he was living in Devon.
