A first promotion since 1978 was clinched following a tense climax to the season in which we battled with Folkestone Invicta for the second promotion spot. Even then, the drama wasn't over as we had to successfully appeal to the FA against a Southern League decision that our ground grading improvements to compete in the Premier Division had not been completed by the deadline.
