Player Profile:

Centre-forward born in Lewisham, London, who was the younger brother of goalkeeper John Prodger and joined Margate on his recommendation in March 1959.

Billy played a few games for the reserves before the end of the 1958/59 season and also made a one-off appearance for the first-team in a 3-3 draw at Tunbridge Wells on 22.4.59. He marked the occasion with a goal that helped Margate gain a Kent League point but left the club soon afterwards.

Billy later had a spell with Gravesend & Northfleet where he appeared alongside his brother during the 1961/62 season and during 1963/64 he played for Sheppey.

During the 1964/65 campaign, Billy made four appearances for Erith & Belvedere and he later had a spell with Swanley Town that included the 1967/68 season.
