Player Profile:

Maidstone-born defender who started his career with Gillingham, playing twice for the Gills' youth side during the 1970/71 season.

Chris later joined Canterbury and spent the 1974/75 season with City before returning to Gillingham. He was rated as a player of outstanding promise in the Gills' reserve side.

However, towards the end of the 1975/76 season Chris was loaned to Folkestone & Shepway and he was then released by the Gills in the summer of 1976.

In July 1976, he joined Margate and made his debut in a 3-1 win over Hastings at Hartsdown on 21.8.76. Chris went on to make ten further appearances (one as sub) at centre-back but in November 1976 he was released. He was having trouble getting time off from work to play for Margate and had never been a regular during his short spell with the club.

He returned to Folkestone & Shepway for the 1978/79 season.
