Player Profile:

London-based player who joined Margate in November 1958 to play in the reserve team after John Prodger broke his arm, leaving Stan Earl as the club's only keeper.

When Earl himself got injured, Len unexpectedly got a chance in the first-team after playing four games for the reserves and made his debut on Boxing Day 1958 against Ramsgate at Hartsdown. Margate lost 2-1 in the Thames & Medway Cup tie but Len did well and went on to make a total of eight first-team appearances before the end of the 1958/59 season. On 30.3.59, he played superbly as Margate beat Folkestone 4-3 in a Kent League game at Hartsdown and at the end of the match he was given a rousing ovation by the large crowd present.

He was released by the club at the end of the 1958/59 season.
