Player Profile:

6ft 2in attacking midfielder who spent five years as a youngster at Arsenal before being released and joining Ebbsfleet United in 2010 as a 17-year-old.

He was one of four players kept on by manager Steve Brown following Fleet’s takeover by Kuwaiti consortium KEH Sports Limited in June 2013.

Phipp was sent on loan to Maidstone United in November 2013 before being sold to Margate in February 2014 for a four-figure fee. By the end of 2013/14, he had made eight appearances (including one as sub) for Margate and scored one goal, which was on his debut in a 4-1 win at Cray on 4.2.14.

Tom stayed at Hartsdown in 2014/15, coming on as a sub in Margate's first five league matches. In total, he made 26 appearances, plus 14 as sub. He scored five goals, including two in a 3-0 home win against Lewes on 1.1.15. He also played in the play-off final against Hendon on 17.5.15.

At the end of 2014/15, Tom moved to Isthmian Premier Tonbridge Angels. He then took time out from football to start a career in marketing after taking a degree.

He returned to football with SCEFL Premier side Crowborough Athletic in 2017/18 and then signed for Cray Wanderers in the summer of 2018 helping them win the Isthmian South East title in 2018/19.

Tom had an injury-hit 2019/20 season but he still made 16 appearances for Cray prior to the season being abandoned.

The following campaign, when the Isthmian Premier was suspended in November 2020, Phipp rejoined Tonbridge Angels, then in National League South, but that competition's season was soon also curtailed.

Tom signed for Herne Bay at the start of the 2021/22 season but moved on to Isthmian Premier Lewes in December 2021.
