Player Profile:

A well travelled midfielder, he started his career at Conference South Bishop's Stortford as a teenager in 2004-05. He left at the end of that season and spells at Conference National Dagenham & Redbridge, Brimsdown Rovers, of the Spartan South Midlands League, and Southern League Cheshunt followed.

He rejoined Bishop's Stortford in January 2009 and played regularly until the end of 2008-09. Reece left the club again and played for Thurrock, AFC Hornchurch and Billericay Town before joining Bishop's Stortford for a third time in March 2010. He then spent several years at the club, became captain and eventually clocked up more than 200 appearances for them.

In 2014-15, Reece joined Conference South Bromley but was loaned to Chelmsford City in the second half of 2015-16. After returning to Bromley, in January 2017 he joined Maidstone United on loan for the rest of the season. He signed for the National League Stones on a permanent basis for 2017-18.

Reece started the 2018-19 season with Hemel Hempstead Town but most of it was spent at National League South rivals East Thurrock United.

Reece had a spell at Welling United at the start of 2019-20 but joined Margate in September. He made his debut on 21.9.19 in a 3-1 home win over Concord Rangers in the FA Cup. He was then a regular in the side, scoring in 1-0 win at Bowers & Pitsea on 16.11.19.

However, on 7.12.19, he was sent off in a 2-1 defeat at Worthing. He had received two bookings inside a minute for protesting about one of Worthing's goals.

Reece scored again in a 1-1 draw at Brightlingsea on 15.2.20 just a few weeks before the season was prematurely curtailed due to Covid. He had made 27 appearances (plus two as sub) and scored twice.

Reece stayed with Margate for the 2020-21 season and played in all 12 of our matches before the Isthmian League campaign was abandoned in November. He scored one of the goals in our 3-2 Thanet Cup win over Ramsgate on 22.8.20.

In January 2021, Reece signed on dual registration with Braintree Town of National League South - football at that level was still continuing.

For 2021-22, he took up a coaching position in Jay Saunders' management team.

Jay said: "He's got a good understanding of the game. He has played at all different levels which helps from the Isthmian League all the way up to the National League. He has a good knowledge of non-league football and a good reputation with people, a good knowledge of players as well and I just think they are all things I was looking to add to the management team and it was an opportunity that came up."

Reece did make one appearance - against Cray Valley in the Kent Senior Cup on 30.11.21 - and he scored once in a 5-0 victory.

Despite leaving Margate in summer 2022 to take up another coaching role, he returned early in the 2022-23 season to work under Andy Drury.

After Drury was sacked in December 2023, Reece took over the managerial reigns and won the Kent Senior Cup at the end of the season.
