Player Profile:

Left-back who was a youngster at Charlton before joining Dartford in 2011. The Darts loaned him to Redbridge and Thamesmead Town and he joined the latter permanently in 2014.

After more than 120 appearances for Thamesmead, Jay signed for Hornchurch of the Isthmian North Division in 2017-18. He spent the latter part of 2018-19 at Enfield Town.

In the summer of 2019, Jay signed for Margate. He quickly became a firm favourite with supporters for his reliability and work rate and was made captain when Ben Swift was unavailable.

During the season, manager Jay Saunders told Kent Online: "Jay's been our most consistent player. You might as well shut down the player-of-the-season and give it to him now because every week you know what you’re getting. We need a few more of them and that's why he's ended up wearing the armband when Swifty's been out."

As expected, Jay was voted supporters' player of the season.

He committed to stay with the club for 2020-21 and made 12 appearances before the season was abandoned due to Covid.

When football resumed in 2021-22, Jay left Hartsdown for Braintree of National League South. The following season he signed for Isthmian Premier side Bishop's Stortford and helped them to the league title. He was named the manager's player of the season. In 2023-24, he was at Billericay Town.
