Player Profile:
Born in Basildon, left back Taylor played youth football with Gillingham and Dartford. He made his first-team debut for the Darts on 24.11.18 in an FA Trophy game at Eastbourne Borough and scored in the subsequent replay.
Spells followed at Beckenham Town and Whitstable Town before he joined Lordswood in October 2019. In July 2020, he joined VCD Athletic but only made a handful of appearances before the 2020-21 season was abandoned.
He was at Sittingbourne in 2021-22 where he had a very successful campaign - he was named supporters’, manager’s and players’ player of the year.
He signed for Margate in summer 2022 and scored twice in 30 appearances. Both his goals for the club were in the same match – a 3-0 win at home to Cray Valley in the Kent Senior Cup on 21.2.23. The first goal was an amazing solo effort where Taylor received the ball deep in his own half and beat several opponents on his way to the penalty area before scoring.
Taylor moved to Hythe Town in summer of 2023 but didn’t play for the Cannons and quickly joined Snodland Town, newly promoted to the SCEFL Premier, ahead of the 2023-24 season.
He started the 2024-25 campaign with Hollands & Blair but left for SCEFL Premier rivals Sutton Athletic. Taylor played for SCEFL Division One side Bridon Ropes in 2025-26.
Taylor is eligible to play for Cascadia – a team representing a region of the US and Canada - and made his debut for them against the Chagos Islands in a friendly at Peckham Town on 25.5.19.
