Right-back Michael was a product of Crystal Palace’s academy and was offered a professional deal in 2009. However, a year later, he was released by Palace and went on to have a trial at Mansfield Town. He then had a spell with Bolungarvik in Iceland.
He played for Erith & Belvedere in the Kent League for part of 2011-12. The Deres reached the final of the Kent Senior Trophy against Sevenoaks Town but were expelled from the competition when it emerged that Michael did not have international clearance when he played for them against Cray Valley in the quarter-final.
He was at Sutton United of Conference South and Kent League Whyteleafe in 2012-13. After another spell in Iceland, this time with Vikingur Reykjavik, he joined Dulwich Hamlet in November 2014.
Michael joined Merstham, newly promoted to the Isthmian Premier, ahead of 2015-16 and was part of the team that reached the FA Cup First Round in 2016-17, losing 5-0 at home to Oxford United. He helped Merstham reach the Isthmian Premier play-offs in 2018-19.
After four seasons with Merstham, Michael followed manager Hayden Bird to Kingstonian but changed his mind and joined Margate for the 2019-20 season. After featuring in pre-season, he missed the opening weeks of the campaign with an injury. In all, he made 31 appearances for the club before the season was abandoned in March due to the pandemic.
After leaving Hartsdown, Michael had spells with Corinthian Casuals and Romford. He joined Kingstonian in September 2022 and returned to Merstham for 2023-24.
