Player Profile:
Centre-half who started his career with Maidstone United’s academy. He tasted first-team football with loan spells at Isthmian Division One South Ramsgate and Leatherhead in 2013-14 – he helped the latter win promotion via the play-offs.
In summer 2014, he went on a season-long loan to Herne Bay. His stay at Herne Bay became permanent and he ended up making almost 100 appearances in his first spell for them before he stepped up three divisions to sign for National League side Bromley in summer 2016.
Daniel helped them reach the FA Trophy final in 2017-18 and was an unused sub in the final against Brackley Town at Wembley on 20.5.18 that Bromley lost 5-4 on penalties after a 1-1 draw in front of 31,403.
He also represented England C while at Bromley. He was called up for a match against Slovakia U21 on 8.11.17 in Ziar Nad Hronom and came on as a sub in a 4-0 defeat.
In October 2018, Daniel joined Dartford of National League South. He was voted young player of the year at the Darts.
In summer 2019, he signed for Margate. He told the club website: "I left Dartford and was approached by Jay and I was keen to come as I've known Jay for a long time. He's coached me previously and I know he is a good manager so I am really pleased to join Margate."
Daniel was a mainstay at the heart of our defence and clocked up 41 appearances. He scored once – in a 2-3 defeat against Cray Wanderers at Bromley on 21.8.19.
After leaving Margate at the end of the truncated 2019-20 campaign, Dan rejoined Herne Bay in summer 2020 and was part of the team that won promotion via the Isthmian South East Division play-offs in 2021-22. He stayed at Bay for the following campaign and scored against Margate in a 1-1 draw at Winches Field on 14.2.23.
He was at Ramsgate in 2023-24, leaving Southwood in February when he signed for Sheppey United on loan.
