Player Profile:
Born in Hammersmith, Scott started his career at Queens Park Rangers and made his first league appearance at the age of 16 on 19.10.04 in a 2-1 Championship defeat at Preston North End. He won four caps for the England U17 team.
A series of injuries set him back and, despite signing a professional contract in 2006, he was released by QPR in January 2007 after making a total of 13 first-team appearances.
He dropped into non-league with Wealdstone and scored on his debut. In July 2007, he joined Conference club Aldershot Town and signed a contract until the end of the 2008-09 season. On 15.4.08, he scored the equaliser in a 1-1 draw at Exeter City that gave the Shots promotion to the Football League. Scott scored the Aldershot winner with a free-kick in their first game back in the Football League, a 1-0 victory at Accrington Stanley on 9.8.08.
In June 2010, Scott signed a three-year deal with Championship side Swansea City. But he made just one appearance, as a sub during a 3-0 victory at Crystal Palace on 30.10.10.
In December 2010, Scott agreed a loan move to League Two Wycombe Wanderers until the end of the 2010-11 season. This was later extended until the end of 2011-12.
In September 2012, Scott returned to Aldershot on a short-term contract. This was followed by a spell on loan at Southend United. He then joined Farnborough of Conference South.
Early in 2013, Scott signed for Conference club Newport County until the end of the 2012-13 season. He scored after 26 seconds of his debut in a 2-2 home draw against Tamworth on 9.2.13.
He came off the bench in the play-off final versus Wrexham at Wembley Stadium on 5.5.13 that County won 2-0 to return to the Football League. Scott was released by Newport at the end of the season and rejoined Farnborough on a non-contract basis.
Scott then spent two seasons with Havant & Waterlooville of Conference South before signing for Margate in summer 2016.
Margate manager Nikki Bull, who had played with Scott at Aldershot and Wycombe, told Kent Online: "He's someone who has scored more than 40 league goals over the last three seasons. He brings goals to the table, creativity, and I doubt whether there is anyone better than him at set pieces either at this level or the one above."
Scott was a regular in the starting XI in the opening couple of months of the campaign and scored in a 2-0 FA Cup win at home to Biggleswade Town on 17.9.16.
A knee injury that required an operation kept Scott out of the side for almost all of October and November before he made six more appearances. He left the club after a 5-1 defeat at Welling United on 1.1.17.
Scott returned to Farnborough, helping them win promotion from Southern League Division One Central. He signed for Chippenham Town in summer 2017 before, in October 2017, he joined Hayes & Yeading United, scoring twice on his debut against Cambridge City.
Having won the Isthmian League Division One South Central title in 2018-19, he left Hayes in summer 2019 to sign for Moneyfields. However, he quickly returned to Hayes in August 2019.
After a spell at Beaconsfield Town, he returned, for a third time, to Hayes in December 2021.
Scott did some coaching at Rayners Lane then, in June 2024, was named manager of Southern League Division One Central side Northwood. But he was sacked in September 2024.
