Player Profile:

Right-back Rio started his career as a youngster at Barnet and then played for Carshalton Athletic, Bishop's Stortford and Haringey Borough.

He joined Scottish League One club Cove Rangers in August 2023 but only made one first-team appearance and left in January 2024. He then made one appearance for Canvey Island in February 2024 before coming to Hartsdown.

Rio’s debut was ironically in a 3-2 home win over Canvey Island on 17.2.24. After six appearances, he left the club at the end of March.

He started the 2024-25 campaign with Erith Town of the Isthmian South East Division before signing for National League side Braintree Town in October 2024. 

He joined Weymouth of National League South in January 2025 but left the Terras after a few weeks.
