Goalkeeper born in Woking who represented Scotland at U19 and U21 level.

Jon began his career at Reading where he made 24 appearances in Premier League 2 for Reading U21 and was named on the bench for Premier League fixtures in March 2013. He played for Scotland U21 in a 1-1 draw in Switzerland on 18.11.14.

He spent time on loan at Aldershot, Oxford United and Welling before being released in 2015.

Jon joined Ipswich Town on a one-year deal for the 2015-16 season but did not play for the first-team and moved on to Hemel Hempstead Town in the summer of 2016.

He was loaned to Margate in November 2016. His debut was in a 2-0 defeat at Truro City on 12.11.16. He made two more appearances before returning to Hemel.

Hemel then loaned Jon to Tonbridge Angels until the end of the 2016-17 season, a move which became permanent in the summer of 2017.

Jon spent seven seasons at Tonbridge, winning promotion to the National League South in 2018-19.

He joined Folkestone Invicta in the summer of 2024.
