Player Profile:
Gifted midfielder Kane began his career with Gillingham and made his professional debut as a sub on 27.4.2013 in a 3-2 defeat at Burton Albion in League Two. Twice during the 2013-14 season, he was loaned to Sutton United of Conference South.
Kane signed for Sutton permanently but was released by them in November 2014 and joined league rivals Eastbourne Borough. Kane then joined Staines Town of the Isthmian Premier in June 2016. He signed for Chelmsford City of National League South in December 2016.
In September 2017, Kane joined Isthmian Premier side Kingstonian on dual registration.
He came to Margate in October 2017 and made his debut in a 3-0 win at Staines Town in the FA Trophy on 28.10.17. The following month, Kane signed a contract keeping him at the club until the end of the 2018-19 season.
He scored in three consecutive matches – in a 2-1 win at Merstham on 7.11.17, in a 2-0 win at Lowestoft on 18.11.17 and in a 3-1 win at Tooting on 21.11.17. On 13.1.18, Kane provided the decisive strike in a 1-0 win over Dulwich Hamlet at Hartsdown and he got the winner in a 1-0 victory at Brightlingsea Regent on 10.2.18.
In February, Kane damaged his anterior cruciate ligament and was ruled out for the rest of the season. He had made a total of 25 appearances and scored eight goals. He had surgery in August 2018.
Kane wasn't involved in playing again until 2024-25 when he signed for Herne Bay. He scored against Margate in a 2-1 home defeat for the Bay on 1.1.25.
