Player Profile:

Portuguese attacking midfielder who came to the UK as a teenager. He played for Hertford Town in 2018-19, Three Bridges, Biggleswade Town and Grays Athletic in 2019-20, and then Billericay Town in National League South.

In summer 2021, he joined Queen of the South following a successful trial with the Scottish Championship club.

He then signed for Tonbridge in National League South in September 2022.

He joined Margate on dual registration from Tonbridge in February 2023. His debut was as a sub in a 0-0 draw at Enfield Town on 25.2.23. Ruben scored in his next appearance, a 2-0 win at home to Corinthian Casuals on 4.3.23. He also scored in a 2-2 draw at home to Lewes on 1.4.23.

He made ten appearances for Margate before the end of the season, scoring twice.

In 2023-24, Ruben had a short stay at Grays Athletic before joining Folkestone Invicta in December 2023 then leaving for Billericay in January 2024.

He spent 2024-25 with Dover Athletic. In 2025, Ruben played in the inaugural season of Baller League, a small-sided indoor football format fronted by YouTuber KSI.
