Player Profile:
Winger Ryan started his career with spells at Fisher Athletic, Cray Wanderers, Grays Athletic, Chatham Town, Tooting & Mitcham and Erith & Belvedere.
In 2014-15, Ryan played in the Isthmian Premier for Hendon and Leatherhead. Towards the end of that campaign, he moved closer to home in south-east London to play for Glebe in the Kent Invicta League, where he scored 13 goals in 15 games.
After a spell with VCD Athletic, Ryan joined Ashford United in September 2015, helping them win the SCEFL title and Kent Senior Trophy in 2016-17.
He spent 2017-18 and 2018-19 at Hythe Town but, ahead of 2019-20, Ryan signed for Merstham. After Merstham, Ryan moved on to Burgess Hill Town, then Canterbury City before signing for SCEFL promotion hopefuls Chatham Town at the start of 2020.
In February 2020, while at Chatham, he came up with an original reason for missing a game – he was going to Peppa Pig World. Ryan was due to be away for the Chats’ match at Glebe, with the trip booked before he signed.
He then agreed to join Sittingbourne ahead of the 2020-21 season before switching to Welling Town in October 2020.
Ryan joined Margate in summer 2021. Manager Jay Saunders said: "Ryan is a great, experienced player who understands the game well and offers lots to our squad. He is a versatile midfielder and is really good in forward areas. Like other new faces we've brought to the club, Ryan's character and leadership skills offer us a lot and I'm really looking forward to working with him."
Ryan began the season as a regular in the starting XI but was dropped to the bench during September before returning to the starting line-up.
He scored one goal for the club, in a 2-1 home win over Brightlingsea Regent on 23.10.21. Ryan's appearances then started to dry up and he left Hartsdown in January 2022.
He signed for Sevenoaks Town and started 2022-23 with them before joining Erith & Belvedere. Ryan then had spells at VCD Athletic and Croydon before playing for Forest Hill Park of the SCEFL Division One in 2024-25. The club changed their name to SE Dons and Ryan was playing for them in the SCEFL Premier in 2025-26.
Ryan was also co-founder and player for SE Dons when they were a Sunday league club.
