Player Profile:

Born in Seattle, USA, midfielder Taner spent the summer of 2015 training with Scottish clubs Dundee and St Mirren before securing a scholarship to Harvard University. He played for the Harvard Crimson team, eventually being named team captain in his senior year. Taner graduated from Harvard with a bachelor's degree in economics.

He then played for Athlone Town and Dundalk in the League of Ireland. He went back to the US and played for Forward Madison before returning to Dundalk.

Taner came to England and featured for Cray Wanderers at the end of the 2022-23 season. He had a brief stay with Eastbourne Borough in 2023-24 before being signed for Margate by Mark Stimson in December 2023. 

Taner’s debut was in the starting XI in a 0-0 draw with Cray Wanderers at Bromley on 26.12.23. He made three further sub appearances before leaving the club.

In March 2025, he signed for Hastings United.
