Player Profile:

Winger Alex started his career in the Tottenham Hotspur youth system. He joined Blackpool in 2010 and was given his first professional deal ahead of the 2012-13 season. He then dropped into non-league with Carshalton Athletic, Whitehawk, Crawley Down Gatwick, Kingstonian, Grays Athletic and Wingate & Finchley before joining Merstham in July 2016.

His form at Merstham earned Alex a return to the professional game with a move to League Two side Cheltenham Town in May 2018, signing a one-year contract.

Cheltenham manager Gary Johnson said: “He is the quickest and most direct player at that level with the most pace I have ever worked with.”

Alex appeared in Cheltenham’s first-team frequently throughout the season and signed a new one-year deal in April 2019, with an option for a further year that would be triggered by appearances. His contract was later extended into the 2020-21 season. 

In November 2020, Alex joined National League side Maidenhead United on a one-month loan. In April 2021, he was loaned to Solihull Moors until the end of the season.

Having made more than 50 appearances for the Robins, he was released by Cheltenham and signed for Torquay United in September 2021. In December 2021, Alex joined Hemel Hempstead Town. In February 2022, Alex returned to Kingstonian before signing for Sittingbourne in summer 2022.

Alex joined Margate on loan in November 2022 from Sittingbourne. His debut was as a sub in a 2-2 draw at Bishop’s Stortford on 26.11.22. He made two more sub appearances before returning to Sittingbourne.

He had another loan spell with Faversham Town in December 2022. In February 2023, he joined Leatherhead.
