Player Profile:

Sam started his career with Leyton Orient. In November 2015, after featuring on the bench for the first-team, he joined Redbridge on a work experience loan.

Sam made his first-team debut, and kept a clean sheet, in Orient's 1-0 win at Yeovil Town on 7.5.16. He made his second appearance in the 2-1 defeat at home to Carlisle United on 4.2.17.

In January 2018, Sam was loaned to Margate. His debut was in a 1-1 draw at Billericay Town on 6.1.18. He made four appearances, keeping two clean sheets, before being recalled by the Os.

The next month, Sam went on loan to Leatherhead until the end of the 2017-18 season. Sam made 17 appearances for Orient during the 2019-20 campaign.

He joined Barnet on loan for the first two months of the 2021-22 National League season, returning to Orient after ten appearances. In January 2022, Sam joined National League side Wealdstone on a seven-day emergency loan.

Sam signed a new one-year contract to stay at Orient in summer 2022.

A year later, Sam departed for League of Ireland First Division club Waterford. He made 18 appearances in all competitions as his side were promoted to the League of Ireland Premier Division.

The 2024 season saw him feature regularly in goal as Waterford finished seventh in their first season back in the top flight.

In January 2025, Sam signed as a free agent for fellow League of Ireland Premier Division club Sligo Rovers.
