Player Profile:
Toby started his career in the youth team at Leyton Orient. In November 2017, he went on a work experience loan to Isthmian North side Heybridge Swifts.
In May 2018, Orient announced Toby would not be offered a professional contract following the end of his scholarship.
He joined Charlton Athletic’s development squad and, on 9.10.18, became the first Charlton player to score a hat-trick on his first-team debut following a record 8-0 win at Stevenage in the EFL Trophy. Toby went on to make another six appearances that season as Charlton were promoted to the Championship following a play-off final victory over Sunderland.
In May 2019, Toby’s contract at Charlton was extended by a further year. In November 2019, he was sent on loan to National League side Dagenham & Redbridge.
In July 2020, Toby left Charlton after his contract expired and he signed a one-year deal with Watford in September with the option of a further year. He played for the Hornets’ Under 23 side.
Following his release from Watford in summer 2021, Toby signed for National League side Bromley and subsequently joined Braintree Town on a month's loan at the end of September. He had a loan spell at Billericay Town in October 2021.
Toby’s contract at Bromley expired at the end of the 2021-22 campaign and he left Hayes Lane. He spent 2022-23 at Billericay, returning to Braintree Town in June 2023.
Left-back Toby signed for Margate from Braintree in February 2024. His debut was in a 4-1 home defeat against Dulwich Hamlet on 3.2.24. He went on to make 14 appearances for the club.
Following Margate's relegation at the end of the 2023-24 season, Toby signed for Chatham Town. He joined Felixstowe & Walton in March 2025.
