Keeper who played for Betteshanger before joining Margate in the summer of 1949.

George was principally a reserve team player but he also made two appearances for the first team during the 1949/50 campaign.

He made his debut on 4.2.50 and put in a great display despite Margate going down 3-2 at his old club Betteshanger in a Kent League Cup tie. George played in the next first team match too but then returned to the reserves before leaving the club at the end of the season.
