Tom then featured for Corinthian's Under-16's during 2009/10 and also played for Kent at that level during the season. Early in 2010 he had a trial with Southend.

Tom stayed with Corinthian until October 2012 when he signed for Kent Invicta League club Rusthall. He scored once from four sporadic first team appearances there before moving on to Margate in March 2013.

Tom became a regular in the reserves and on 23.4.13 he made his first team debut as an 89th minute substitute in a 4-2 home defeat against Ebbsfleet in the Kent Senior Cup. Tom also came on with 15 minutes left as Margate drew 0-0 with Harrow in the last Isthmian League Premier Division game of the season at Hartsdown Park on 27.4.13 before leaving the club.

He started the 2013/14 campaign with Premier Division newcomers Thamesmead but by March 2014 Tom was playing for Sutton in the Kent Invicta League. He was also managing Ebbsfleet's Under-16 Girls team at that time.
