Player Profile:

Defender Adam played for Hayes & Yeading United’s U18 side before moving on to Beaconsfield SYCOB and Harrow Borough. This was followed by spells with Wealdstone and Windsor & Eton.

The son of assistant manager Stuart, Adam joined Margate in March 2014. His debut was as a sub in a 4-1 win at East Thurrock on 8.4.14. He stayed at Hartsdown for 2014-15 but, in October 2014, was signed by Southern League side Slough Town on a short-term basis. He started one game for the Rebels at home to Redditch United that finished in a 7-1 defeat on 11.10.14. He returned to Margate and finished the season with 18 appearances, including nine as sub.

In 2015-16, he was sent on loan to Metropolitan Police and Leatherhead. He made just one appearance for Margate, starting a 2-1 Kent Senior Cup defeat at home to Tonbridge on 7.10.15. However, at the end of the season, he signed a one-year contract extension to stay at Margate. Manager Nikki Bull said: "Adam spent a lot of time on loan last season and has developed into a strong full back who will have an important role to play this season."

The early part of 2016-17 saw Adam as a regular starter in the team. He also scored his only goal for Margate in a 2-2 draw at Harrow Borough in the FA Cup on 15.10.16. Margate’s exit from the cup in the replay and subsequent financial crisis meant many players had to be released and Adam was among them.

He joined Leatherhead but suffered an ACL knee injury that put him out of action for a year. He signed for Hayes & Yeading in January 2018 but had a further knee injury, which kept him out of action for a prolonged period. He joined Northwood on dual registration in September 2021 but moved on to Berkhamsted in November 2021.

He founded the Football Icon Academy in 2018 to develop young players and is the brother of professional footballer Matty Cash.
