Player Profile:

Thanet-born player who joined Margate for the 1977/78 season and became a regular in the reserves during the campaign, scoring 13 goals for them. Jeff also made one first team appearance, making his debut in a 2-2 draw at Dorchester on 21.1.78.

During the 1978/79 campaign he made a single appearance in a game at Yeovil on 11.11.78 but in March 1979 Jeff joined Ramsgate, becoming the Rams' new manager Bob Harrop's first signing.

He returned to Margate in the summer of 1980 and made four further appearances (one as a substitute) during the early part of the 1980/81 campaign. Jeff scored once - in a 4-1 home defeat against Ashford on 2.9.80 - before rejoining Ramsgate in September 1980.

He went on to spend several seasons with the Rams and was still at the club during the 1982/83 campaign.

Jeff later dropped into local amateur football and turned out for Griffiths in the Thanet Works League during the 1985/86 season.

He was still living in Margate in 2012.
