Two-footed versatile attacker who joined Margate from Hereford in October 1949 and played regularly during the second half of the 1949/50 season after making his debut in a 2-2 draw with Sittingbourne at Hartsdown on 29.10.49.

Jack made a total of 26 appearances and scored four times although his first goal didn't come until his 19th outing for the club. He played as an out-and-out striker as well as on both wings and the highlight of Jack's season was his brace of goals in a 3-0 win over Bowaters Lloyd on 1.4.50. However he left the club in the summer of 1950.
