Player Profile:

Rashid was born in Poplar, London, and began his career as a trainee at Charlton Athletic Academy in 2006 at the age of 17.

He scored eight league goals for the under-18 squad in the 2007/08 Premier Academy League, as well as two goals for the under-18s in the FA Youth Cup. However, he failed to break into the first-team and, in November 2008, was loaned out to Conference side Northwich Victoria. He went on to make seven appearances for the Vics after which he returned to The Valley.

He would make his only first-team appearance for Charlton as a substitute in the Third Round of the 2008/09 FA Cup in which Charlton won 1-0 at Norwich City.

In March 2009, Rashid was loaned to Conference side Ebbsfleet United for the remainder of the season. He was subsequently released by Charlton at the end of 2008/09.

He joined League One Gillingham on trial in July 2009, impressing manager Mark Stimson enough to be awarded a one-year contract for 2009/10.

Rashid made his Football League debut on 8.8.2009 as a late substitute in a 5–0 win over Swindon Town. He would go on to make seven more league appearances for Gillingham in 2009/10, a season in which the Gills were relegated. Rashid was released in May.

The next month Rashid signed for Conference side AFC Wimbledon. He became a key member of the Dons' squad during their push for promotion, scoring six league goals in 40 appearances in 2010/11.

He played in the 2011 Conference play-off final against Luton Town at the City of Manchester Stadium in front of 18,195, a match which AFC Wimbledon won on penalties.

Rashid stayed with AFC Wimbledon as they stepped up to the Football League and scored five league goals in 40 appearances during 2011/12. In December 2013, he was released having made 150 league appearances for the Dons.

Terry Brown, now at Margate, brought Rashid to Hartsdown Park where he made two appearances. His debut was in a home match against Hampton on 21.12.13, which finished 2-2. He was substituted in the 81st minute for Warren Whitely. His second appearance was in a 4-0 defeat at Maidstone United on Boxing Day.

Rashid would go on to play for Hayes & Yeading, Zebbug Rangers (Malta), Arka Gdynia (Poland), IA Akranes (Iceland) and Vikingur Olafsik (Iceland) and Chatham Town.
