Player Profile:

Defender born in Carlisle who played for Carlisle's reserves before joining the army and moving to Kent in 1986. Vic joined Thanet United for the 1986/87 season and played regularly for the reserves throughout the campaign. He also made two first team appearances, making his debut in a 4-1 win over Canterbury at Hartsdown Park on 7.4.87. Vic played at right-back and the Isle of Thanet Gazette said that he put in a "resolute performance" and "gave little away". He then came on as substitute in United's 4-0 win over Ramsgate in the Isle of Thanet Gazette Cup game at Hartsdown on 13.4.87.

Vic began the 1987/88 campaign as a fixture in the heart of the United defence, starting each of the opening six matches of the season alongside Dave Carr. He was in and out of the side for Thanet's next six games but returned to the starting line-up for an FA Cup 3rd Qualifying Round replay at Woking on 13.10.87. Unfortunately Vic had to be substituted early on after pulling a leg muscle and he was out for several weeks as a result before being released towards the end of 1987. He had made ten appearances (two as sub) during the season and was never on the losing side in his brief first team career.

Vic later had spells with Ramsgate and Herne Bay before returning to Hartsdown Park for the 1989/90 campaign. He played for Margate's reserves but didn't make any first team appearances.

During the 1992/93 season Vic played for Tenterden & St.Michaels in the Kent County League.
