Bill wore the number four shirt in a 4-0 win over Folkestone in a Kent League Cup tie at Hartsdown Park on 4.12.54.

He spent the rest of the campaign in the reserves and was released by the club at the end of the season.

He died in Rotherham on 7.3.95 aged 66.
