Player Profile:

George joined Margate in 2013/14 as a 16-year-old. He had spent the end of the previous season at Clapton of the Essex Senior League and he also had a brief spell at Leyton Orient. He played at left-back in pre-season for Margate.

George came on as a sub in our FA Cup tie on 28.09.13 at home to Dulwich Hamlet in the 75th minute but was sent off in the 89th minute in what appeared to be a case of mistaken identity. We lost the match 2-1.

George later played for Leatherhead, Aveley, Thamesmead, Hornchurch, Ilford, Phoenix Sports and joined VCD Athletic in 2023. He was part of the VCD team that won promotion from the SCEFL Premier Division via the play-offs in 2024-25.
