Player Profile:

5' 11" tall Brixton-born defender who started his career with Crystal Palace as a youth and went on to make four first team appearances for the Eagles spanning the 1962/63-1964/65 seasons. Bill also made 73 reserve team appearances, the first of them during 1961/62.

He then dropped into non-league football and joined Woking for the 1964/65 season before moving on to Wellington Town.

In the summer of 1966 Bill signed for Margate and in June 1966 he was a member of the squad that travelled to West Germany for a three match tour.

Bill made his competitive debut for Margate at right-back in a 2-1 defeat against Wisbech at Hartsdown Park on 10.9.66. He only made seven further appearances for the first team during the 1966/67 season, usually playing at right-back or left-back, and spent most of the campaign in the reserves. Bill was released in the summer of 1967.

He joined Bexley for the 1967/68 campaign but wasn't retained by the club for the following season.

Bill worked as an engineer during his time with Margate.
