Thanet-born defender who joined Margate for the 1975/76 season and played regularly for the reserves during the campaign. Wayne also made one first-team appearance, playing at right-back in a Kent Floodlight Cup tie at Ramsgate on 8.4.76 that Margate lost 1-0.

However, he left the club at the end of the campaign when the reserve team was disbanded for financial reasons and dropped into local football.
