Player Profile:

Local player from the Minster area widely known as 'Buster' who first played for Margate Reserves during the 1968/69 season and also made two first team appearances during the campaign. Brian made his debut on 25.3.69 and scored as Margate drew 1-1 at Deal in a Kent Floodlight Cup tie. He made one further appearance before the end of the season.

He continued in the reserves during the 1969/70 campaign and made a single first team appearance, playing at Folkestone in a Kent Senior Shield tie on 13.4.70. Brian was described as being "shaggy-haired" by the Isle of Thanet Gazette.

During the 1970/71 season he made two further first team appearances, the first as a substitute as Margate went down 3-0 at Gravesend & Northfleet in a Kent Floodlight Cup game on 10.11.70.

Brian also appeared three times for the first team during the 1971/72 season but left the club at the end of the campaign and joined Whitstable where he spent the 1972/73 season. He scored a hat-trick in a match against Margate Reserves on 25.11.72.

Brian then spent the 1973/74 campaign with Snowdown and later played for Herne Bay, appearing for them during the 1975/76 season.
