Player Profile:

Swansea-born Welsh schoolboy international forward who played for Abergregown Juniors as a youngster before starting his senior career with Swansea Town.

Dai joined the Swans in October 1942 when they were a 2nd Division club and, although he didn't make any official first-team appearances, he did play in six wartime matches during the 1945/46 season, scoring three times.

In June 1947, Dai moved on to Brighton of the 3rd Division South and made 14 senior appearances for them during 1947/48, scoring four goals.

He later played for Folkestone before signing for Margate in June 1951.

Dai made his debut on 18.8.51 as Margate drew 0-0 with Whitstable at Hartsdown Park on the opening day of the 1951/52 season. He played on the right wing but it turned out to be his only first-team appearance and Dai left the club shortly afterwards.

His full name was David Stuart Lynne Thomas and he died in the Waltham Forest area of London in April 1993, aged 72.
