Local reserve team player who made three first team appearances during the 1970/71 season. Richard made his debut on the left wing in a Kent Floodlight Cup tie against Bexley at Hartsdown on 18.1.71.

He then carried on playing for the reserves during the 1971/72 season and was a non-playing substitute for the first team game at Folkestone on 15.3.72.

Richard continued to be a regular in the reserves during the 1972/73 campaign and also made a few appearances for them in the 1973/74 season.

He later had a spell with Ramsgate and played for their reserves during the 1975/76 campaign.
