Well-built centre-forward who joined Margate in February 1970 having previously played for Barry. He made his debut in a 1-0 defeat at Worcester on 28.2.70 but it was his only appearance for the club.

There was some confusion regarding his name, it may have actually been Tom / Tommy Johnston or possibly Johnstone.
