Player Profile:

Left-footed Dover-born player who gained his first taste of senior football when he made a few appearances for Ramsgate during the 1980/81 season.

After several years in local amateur football, Micky joined Thanet United for the 1985/86 campaign and became captain of the reserve team under manager Jimmy Ward. On 18.3.86, he made his first-team debut when he played on the left wing as United beat Tonbridge 3-1 at Hartsdown Park. Micky kept his place for Thanet's next three matches, turning out at left-back in the third of them - a Southern League game at Hastings on 31.3.86 - and then returned to the reserves. He made one more first-team appearance before the end of the season to take his overall tally to five.

Micky stayed at Hartsdown for the 1986/87 campaign and on 22.11.86 he returned to the first-team, playing in midfield in a 2-1 win over Waterlooville. He then featured regularly in the matches leading up to the end of 1986, culminating in his last first-team game - a 2-1 defeat at Corinthian on 27.12.86. Micky had made a total of six appearances (one as sub) by then and returned to the reserves for the remainder of the season.

He also played for the reserves during the 1987/88 campaign, making six appearances before dropping back into local football.

Micky later became heavily involved with the Thanet Premier Sunday League and was their registration secretary for a period in the early 1990s. He worked as a bricklayer at that time.
