Bromley-born player who joined Margate in the summer of 1948 aged 29 and played exclusively for the reserves throughout the 1948/49 and 1949/50 seasons.

During the 1950/51 campaign Reg also made a one-off appearance for the first-team, playing in midfield as Margate went down 2-1 to Snowdown Colliery Welfare in a Kent League game at Hartsdown Park on 11.5.51.

He stayed with the club for the 1951/52 campaign too and played exclusively for the reserves during the season.

During the 1953/54 campaign Reg became manager of Margate's 'A' team.

In 1980, he was working as a teacher at Northdown Primary School in Margate.

Reg died in Margate on 6.11.12 aged 93.
