Player Profile:
5' 11" tall blonde defender born in Shoreham-by-Sea, Sussex, who started his career with Reading before moving on to Brighton in 1974.
Ricky left the Seagulls to join Margate in September 1976 and made his debut in a 5-2 win over Hastings at Hartsdown on 28.9.76. He impressed with his aerial ability and, on 2.10.76, he pushed forward to score with a shot from outside the penalty area in a 2-1 win at Maidstone. However, after making a total of six appearances, Ricky left the club before Christmas 1976.
He returned home to Sussex and soon joined Littlehampton. He later played for Worthing and, during 1977/78, Ricky scored 13 goals for them. He also played for a Sussex County side that season. He stayed with Worthing for the 1978/79 campaign too.
Ricky then had another spell with Littlehampton that included the 1980/81 season before returning to Worthing once more early in the 1981/82 campaign.
He then joined Sussex County League side Steyning Town for the 1982/83 season. On 10.11.82, he was named in a Sussex League squad to play a Kent League representative team at Sheppey United.
Ricky later rejoined Worthing again and he was still with the club during the 1984/85 campaign.
By the start of the 1985/86 season, Ricky was turning out for Sussex County League outfit Portfield where he often played as a striker.
During the 1980/81, 1981/82 and 1982/83 seasons, Ricky played for the Sussex County League representative side.
In 2010, Ricky was running his own sports goods shop in Worthing.
