Player Profile:

Mitcham-born keeper who began his career with Charlton as a youngster before being released at the end of the 1958/59 season.

Tommy joined Folkestone in the summer of 1959 and then linked up with Ashford in March 1960.

On 17.12.60, he was sent off during the Nuts & Bolts' 3-1 home win over Ramsgate and initially refused to leave the field. Tommy made a total of 47 Southern League appearances for Ashford before returning to Folkestone in June 1961.

He was Folkestone's 'Player of the Year' for the 1961/62 campaign.

Tommy later had a spell with Sittingbourne before rejoining Ashford in July 1964. He made 22 Southern League appearances during 1964/65 but was released at the end of the season.

After a third spell at Folkestone, Tommy signed for Margate in August 1969. He made his debut in a Southern League game at Hereford on 9.8.69, the opening day of the 1969/70 season. Tommy went on to make a total of 14 appearances during the early months of the campaign before departing.

He worked as a PE teacher during his spell with Margate and in 2011 he was living in Folkestone.
