Player Profile:
Striker well known for playing for more than 40 clubs in his career. He joined Margate from Hendon in February 2014 and made his debut in an Isthmian League match at Bury Town on 22.2.14. He played regularly until the end of the 2013/14 season, scoring twice at Billericay on 15.3.14, twice again at home to Lowestoft on 22.3.14, and once at home to Lewes on 15.4.14.
He then hit a hat-trick in a 6-0 win at Carshalton on 19.4.14 and notched another goal at home to Cray on 21.4.14. His final Margate appearance was away to Hendon on 25.4.14. Jefferson left Hartsdown to join Lowestoft Town.
Jefferson continued playing into his mid-40s and in 2024-25 was player-coach at Southern League side Thame United. An interview with the BBC website in August 2024 saw Jefferson described as "football's ultimate journeyman". He has also represented Dominica during his career. Jefferson finally retired at the end of the 2024-25 season.
