Player Profile:
Powerful Greenwich-born striker who started his career with spells at Southwark Sports and Erith & Belvedere.
Gary later joined Alma Swanley before moving on to London Spartan League club Sangley Sports during the 1990/91 season.
In March 1991, Maidstone signed him and on 12.3.91 Gary scored in his first game for the Stones - a 1-1 draw in a friendly at Margate. He went on to make five substitute appearances in the Football League before the end of the 1990/91 season and scored once in a game at Halifax before rejoining Alma Swanley in the summer of 1991.
At the end of August 1991 Gary signed for Margate as a replacement for the recently departed Paul Underwood and made his debut in a 3-1 win over Newport IOW at Hartsdown Park on 31.8.91. The Isle of Thanet Gazette said he "struggled to make an impact". Shortly after he'd come on as a substitute in a 1-0 home defeat against Gosport on 7.9.91, the same paper said he had "not settled down" and Gary left the club soon afterwards having made only two appearances without scoring.
He rejoined Alma Swanley initially but, in January 1992, Gary had a trial at Dover and scored for them in a 4-2 win over Hythe in the Eastern Floodlight Cup before going back to Alma again.
Gary later played for Furness where he spent the 1996/97 campaign before linking up with Greenwich for 1997/98.
He joined Bromley early in 1998/99 and made four sub appearances there before returning to Thanet to join Ramsgate later in the season.
Gary left the Rams to join Greenwich a few weeks into the 1999/00 campaign and then moved to Herne Bay later that season.
